Buried or Burned

Does it matter?

To be buried or to be burned

Or to be cast upon the mountains

For the vultures to feast on your remains

In the end, does it matter?

Our death isn't earned

Is it predetermined?

I think not

But it's inevitable all the same

Live well and help who you can

Or live selfishly, hoarding and indulging

We cannot avoid our passing

I guess, at the end of the day

Can you look back and say

"I'm proud of me"?

What else do we live for

Than to be proud of who we are?
