Birthday Celebration
A haiku chain poem about childhood birthday memories
Party hats,
neon jewelry;
happy birthday attire.
Rainbow balloons,
waxy candles;
accessories.
Pinata horses,
construction paper flakes;
celebration symbols.
Kids and parents,
grandmas and grandpas;
the main family tree.
Aunties and uncles,
cousins and friends;
parts of the clan.
Wrapped presents,
loads of money;
lucky charms.
Sour fruit punch,
soda fountains;
beverages.
Cheese pizza,
beef frankfurter rolls;
salty favourites.
Chocolate cake,
vanilla ice cream;
the sugary ending.

I loved the nostalgic magic that you weaved throughout this piece! Great job Talia!
I should have been to your parties, lol. Mine were rather sublime. Except my 16th. Perhaps I should tell about that crazyness, hee hee!
Childhood birthdays leave behind memorable photos that tell stories to this day. Your poem opens up childhood memories 🤩
It really gives the essence of fun. I enjoyed reading that.
