Notes from the Author:

This poem reflects a personal relationship. It was inspired by a song by The Bravery called “The Ocean,” off the 2007 album, “The Sun and the Moon.” It’s one of my favourite songs of all time, taking me back to my last year of high school when I was 16. It’s worth mentioning this is a fantastic and seamless album all the way through.
