Kings come and go
But art speaks to the human soul
Art is immortality
This poem was inspired by a friend asking the question, “I'm good at art but does that even mean anything at the end of the day?”
Below is my full response:
We don’t hang business contracts from the Renaissance in museums. Nobody pays 100s, 1000s, or millions of dollars for something a lawyer did in 1782.
Kings come and go. But art speaks to the human soul. Art is immortality.

Love the message behind this, and isn't it the truth!
😊👏 Great msg and analogy Atomic!
Beautiful! People mock those who'd rather live a modest life as an artist than be a millionaire in finance. But art does something so vital for an artist that those aren't artists just won't understand. As you said, art immortalizes.
