Champions League and European League Championship draw
Championship
The draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the current season (2023-2024) was held at the UEFA headquarters in the Swiss city of Nyon on Friday, and resulted in fiery confrontations.
According to the draw, the defending champion, Manchester City, will face the Spanish champion, Real Madrid, in a match considered an early final.

The first leg will be played at the home ground of the team whose name was drawn first.
Final draw (administrative procedure)
The winner of the second semi-final will be the host (Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester City), and will wear its traditional uniform.
Barcelona and yesterday's enemy
Barcelona had met Paris Saint-Germain in the same round in the 2016-2017 edition, and made a historic comeback on March 8, 2017, with a 7-1 win over the Camp Nou, after losing the first leg 0-4 in the team’s Parisian stronghold, and since that time an uncontrollable hostility began. A precedent between the two teams, during which Saint-Germain kidnapped Barcelona star Neymar in the summer of 2017, and then snatched Barcelona’s first star, Lionel Messi, from the Camp Nou in 2021, then his winger Dembélé the following year.

Wembley Stadium, in the English capital, London, will host the final match of the current Champions League edition, on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
Wembley Stadium has previously hosted 7 European finals, more than any other stadium.
Jean Michel draws lots
The draw was drawn by former Chelsea star John Obi Michel, ambassador for the quarter-finals of the Champions League, and talked about the 2012 title, and predicted an English team alongside Real Madrid in the final match.
European League Championship
Likewise, today, Friday, at the central command of the European Football Relationship in the Swiss city of Nyon, the draw for the quarter-finals of the European Association Title was drawn, where the draw brought about a searing Italian derby, placing Liverpool in a reasonable showdown with the Italian Atalanta.
The draw was drawn by previous Spanish star Fernando Llorente.
