Ivan the Cyclist

Legend of the Village

Ivan rides a bicycle

Ivan was a person that no one in the village Across the Walley could ignore. Tall, slim, with black hair as thick as a brush, and big blue eyes that could shake you to your core. He wore a white jacket with black checks on the shoulders and hood, and a cigarette always dangled from the corners of his thick lips. He was something between a charming womanizer and a clumsy entertainer as he cycled around the countryside with a bag that always seemed mysterious but was almost empty.

Ivan's house was right next to the cemetery, which often made people cringe, but Ivan claimed that it was "the most peaceful place in the village". Of course, that didn't stop him from using that position for some tricks. When people asked him what it was like to live next to a cemetery, he would say: "It's wonderful, the neighbors never make noise. The only thing is that they always have to leave the door open, so they don't wander off."

One day, Ivan decided to organize a bicycle race through the village. Everyone gathered in front of his house, including the children, who wanted to see how Ivan would handle the bike. Everyone knew he was clumsy, but no one could resist his charm and wit.

The race started, and Ivan led the column of cyclists down the street. When they reached the first turn, Ivan took a sharp turn, but his bike chain jumped, throwing him straight into a ditch. As he stood up, cigar in mouth and mud all over his white jacket, he said, "There, that was my impromptu backflip. I'm practicing for the Olympics." They all laughed as they helped him up.

After the race, Ivan led a group of people to the cemetery, where he set up a picnic table. "We will celebrate our winners here!" he said with a smile. Someone asked him: "Ivan, why the cemetery?" Ivan replied: "Well, if someone falls off his bike here, at least we don't have to carry him far!" They were all laughing, although they were secretly looking around, as if expecting someone to appear from the shadows.

Ivan's eternal cigarette and the bag he carried everywhere became part of his identity. The kids often asked him what he carried in his bag, and he would reply, "It's my occasion bag. I have everything I need in it - spare cigarettes, bike tools, even a sandwich in case I get hungry while driving." Of course, the bag was often empty, but Ivan claimed that this was because "positive energy weighs nothing."

When he wasn't riding his bike or making jokes by the cemetery, Ivan was known for his flirting with women. He was not afraid to approach women and make jokes. On one occasion, while at a local pub, he approached Anna, a waitress, and said: "Anna, your eyes are like two bicycle headlights - they light my way." Anna laughed and said, "Ivan, you better drive carefully, otherwise you'll go off the road." Ivan just laughed and added: "Sister sweet, I don't deviate from the path - the path deviates from me!"

Ivan was more than an ordinary cyclist. He was the heart and soul of the village Across the Walley, always ready to make people laugh, even when he was in the strangest situations. His cigarette, black checked jacket, and empty bag made him a village legend, and his ability to turn any situation into a joke was the reason everyone loved him. No matter how many times he fell off his bike or joked about the cemetery, Ivan was an extraordinary charmer who brightened everyone's day.
