Surviving The Rapture

Today is the thirteenth anniversary of Harold Camping’s failed rapture prediction. Camping studied the Bible and came up with the date he swore the end of times was going to take place. It was believed that the Rapture was going to happen on May 21, 2011, at 6 pm in each time zone with a massive earthquake (the biggest we’ve ever seen) occurring each time. His supporters estimated that 3% of the world’s population, or 200 million people, will be raptured on this day. Unfortunately, nothing he said happened. Harold Camping went on to change the date to October 21st, which also failed. Before passing away in 2013, he made five wrong predictions about the Rapture in his lifetime. If he was right, here is how to survive it.

What Exactly is The Rapture?

The Rapture is an important biblical event that almost every Christian believes in. It is often referred to as the end times or end of days. It first appeared in the Bible in the New Testament in a letter written by the Apostle Paul to the Thessalonians. In it, he explained that both the living and the dead believers will ascend to the heavens to meet Jesus at this second coming. It is never stated anywhere in the Bible as to when and where this event will take place, leading many religious scholars, like Harold Camping, to speculate on when it will occur. This is a hot-button issue among the Christian Communities as each one speculates something different about the Rapture events than the other.

Before The Rapture

Rest assured, the Rapture wouldn’t be a surprising event. There will be multiple signs leading up to the main show, as the Bible contains some things that must happen first before Jesus returns. According to Matthew 24:05, there will be an increase in false prophets claiming to have divine authority over others. Global unrest and civil conflicts will greatly increase, along with the frequency of earthquakes, famine, and diseases. There will be a defilement of the holy places and an increase in hostility towards Christians around the world. There will be prominent signs of the heavens as unusual and terrifying celestial events, as seen in Luke 21:11.

Getting Yourself Ready

The best way to ensure you and your loved ones are rapture is for each of you to be the best Christian you can be. It is never too late to accept God into your heart. Improving your religious self is an important part of becoming a more faithful person. Be modest about your faith. It is easier for other people to believe in the power of God’s love through your actions rather than outright saying it. Do this by volunteering around your community, whether it be at the food pantry, or animal shelter, or just visiting your elderly neighbors to assist them with errands/tasks they need to be done. Start a prayer journal so that you can make praying a daily activity for you. Learn about the wonders of God and Jesus through daily Bible readings.

The Tribulation Period

This event will take place right after the Rapture. It will be a seven-year period where Satan and his Antichrist rule the world. It will be a period of great trial and suffering for those left behind. Another thing happening at this time will be a great war between Satan and the Saints trying to save others from burning in Hell. The Antichrist will assign a false prophet to brand those loyal to Satan with a mark of some kind on the hand or head. Whatever you do, resist getting this mark. If you do, you’ll be cast into the fires with the other nonbelievers. If you die resisting, you’ll be welcomed into heaven with open arms. Don’t let Satan win. Resist the Mark of the Beast.
