THE LOST OF US TV SERIES REVIEW

The Last of Us Remastered, released eight years ago, is a game that still looks impressive today. Despite its already high quality, the developers have taken it upon themselves to make it even better. The Last of Us, a game that expertly combines stealth, survival, and violence in a post-apocalyptic world, is widely regarded as one of the best games of all time. The haunting story and well-crafted world have earned it a perfect 10 rating from IGN, and it is considered a masterpiece that has been remastered twice before.

The latest remake of The Last of Us takes full advantage of the powerful capabilities of the PS5 to create a fully rebuilt world, characters, and animations with new levels of detail and fluidity. The developers have also included some well-considered use of the haptic feedback in the DualSense controller, and a remarkable range of accessibility options. However, the original game's multiplayer mode is not included in this remake, which may be a drawback for some players. Nevertheless, for solo players, this remake is undoubtedly the definitive way to experience this modern classic.

Although this remake is excellent in many ways, there is something that it can't quite shake off: the feeling of being inessential. The Last of Us Remastered is already a must-play game on hardware that is only one generation old, and this new remake might not be worth the investment for some players.

That being said, the story of The Last of Us, including the short prequel Left Behind, which is included in this remake as a separate story, is as strong, captivating, and shocking as ever. The game is a complex web of themes that are expertly woven together by the developers at Naughty Dog. It deals with despair, selfishness, and misery but also touches on hope, redemption, and love, which creates a journey that players will never forget.

If you haven't played The Last of Us before, it's a game that's well worth your time. It's a beautiful, dark, and unforgettable journey that's filled with themes that will leave you thinking long after you've completed it. This latest remake may not be essential for those who have played the game before, but for those who are new to the game or looking to experience it in a new way, it's definitely worth checking out.

If you are already familiar with The Last of Us story, you will likely enjoy it just as much the second time around. From the first harrowing chapter to the final, bruising moments, the story still manages to captivate and engage its audience. In fact, playing through it again confirmed a suspicion that the original game's story is superior to its sequel's. While The Last of Us Part II is a technically outstanding follow-up with a fascinating tale, it is an almost exclusively grim one. The heavy emphasis on revenge, hate, and self-destruction can be exhausting and disillusioning in a way that the original game is not. At least, not all the time.

The Last of Us Part II is an emotionally intense experience that forces the player to confront difficult themes and make tough choices. While the game is undoubtedly a masterpiece in its own right, it lacks the balance and nuance that made the original so exceptional. The Last of Us explored the themes of love, loyalty, and hope, in addition to despair, selfishness, and misery. Its storytelling was both haunting and uplifting, making it an unforgettable experience for players.

On the other hand, The Last of Us Part II is a dark and relentless journey that leaves little room for hope or redemption. While this approach certainly has its merits, it can also be emotionally draining for players. The constant focus on the negative aspects of humanity can make the game feel nihilistic at times, and it lacks the moments of levity that made the original so memorable.

Overall, The Last of Us remains a timeless classic that is worth revisiting, even if you already know the story. While its technical aspects may have been surpassed by its sequels, its storytelling remains unmatched. The game's focus on both the light and dark sides of humanity, and the interplay between them, made it a masterpiece that has stood the test of time. While The Last of Us Part II is an exceptional game in its own right, it is a different kind of experience that lacks the balance and nuance that made the original so special.
