The story revolves around a mysterious and terrifying sound that haunts the people of a village. The sound is not just a knock, but an angel of death cries, causing fear and anxiety in the people. The people of the village have always been committed to their routine, falling into deep sleep at night and waking up with the first rays of the sun in the morning. However, one night a year, the people wake up to a dark, cold, terrible night.

For the last 25 years, this night has come once every year, when it is very cold and rainy. The people are covered in blankets and frozen, and then suddenly, after midnight, a voice emerges from the village streets. The sound of wood, like someone walking on a wooden stick, echoes in different streets, eventually tearing the ears from his terrible threat.

The people of the villages wake up, trembling from fear, and then there is a knock on the door of a house. The door is knocked on repeatedly, and in a short time, someone would have died in that house. The reason for this is unknown, but those who were sensible at the time knew that this was a long punishment.

Witches, jinns, ghosts, and devils are horrible creatures that cause life-killing fear. One of the most frightening names is "Hunger." It is said that the worst death is the one due to hunger, which causes gradual torture from each organ of the body.

The story highlights the importance of understanding the hidden secrets and joys hidden within the sound of knocking, as well as the irony of the cry of death being heard without knowing who it is meant for. The people of the village are left to grapple with the fear and uncertainty of the unknown, as they struggle to find answers to the mysterious and terrifying voices that haunt them.

The people of a village were hardworking and diligent, with men working in fields and gardens, women raising their own animals, and some keeping milk in their houses for themselves and children. They had clean water springs, open air, and pure food. However, everyone's hearts were very narrow, and they believed that if there was a piece of bread, a cup of milk, or any leftover fruit, it would be useful tomorrow.

Gul Jana Bibi Bechari was only Gul in name, but the rest of her life was full of thorns. She was born to a mother who couldn't believe her eyes and had three beautiful children. Gul Jana was named Gul in hope, but she proved this to be wrong. She got stuck in her toe while playing eyeball with friends, and the wound did not heal. Years ago, the life of the villages had to be treated like dust. After a few home remedies, the family members left him in despair, and Gul Jana was crippled for life.

The severe cold that had been falling for several months had become a regular test for the villagers, as it was impossible to stay locked in the house and find places to eat bread. Noor Khan worked all day in the apple orchard, and while returning home, he had a small amount of money in his pocket and a bag full of apples in his hand. As the evening got dark, the chill of cold everywhere and the foggy roads made it difficult to see beyond a few steps.

In summary, the people of a village were hardworking, diligent, and had a common belief that everyone had the right to the bread of their labor.
