Thus, in this alternate reality, when Nazis Germany started to create a Germany's new empire by occupying Britain, the Soviet Union, quickly reacting to that, decided to attack Germany. Nevertheless, the United States was waiting on the sideline and getting prepared for the war that was deriving and would drag them inadvertently into the same conflict. This storytelling covers an imaginary storyline which can be referred to as a Devil’s Alliance between Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin who coincidentally find themselves in a position to agree with each other solely on the ground of cold logic of realpolitik than any ideological alignment.

The 1930s were a period filled with dramatic events and Hitler was gradually taking the German Armed Forces and transforming it into a killing machine. In 1933 Hitler removed Germany from the League of Nations and the World Disarmament Conference disarming in vain while preparing the groundwork for the Second World War, once admitted to the force, Germany could not but think of a preponderance of power. Economic crisis of the Great depression had reduced many Germans to unimaginable poverty and the Hitler Nazis and die communists became leading alternative to them.

In the period of only one year (1933-1934) Hitler's magnetic personality and Joseph Goebbels’ skillful propaganda gained him several supporters and most people regarded him as a savior or a restorer of the national prestige and might. So, in his vision of "Lebensraum" (the living space), which involved the conquest of territory inhabited by Slavs and Jews because they were looked down by the Nazi's as a nation.

September 23, 1939, was the day that November was German was shocked the World ,the German signer a non-aggression pact with the Soviet Union—the ‘a pact’ Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact. But with clandestine protocols, this pact was meant to determine the areas of influence in Eastern Europe and eventually became the foundation for the joint invasion of Poland. The treaty was a quite amoral matter that was used by “two strong sides” like a caulking between them to pursue their interests without the risk of conflict between them.

Talks about the pact started but there still was mutual distrust. Stalin, then, for Hitler, was nothing but a "sly Caucasian," but, on the other hand, Hitler's fascism was disrespected. Coordination between them wasn’t ideological but rather tactical, planned as a power grab and gaining territory. Thanks to the collaboration of the Germans and the Soviets, the Germans gained the ability to launch a triumphant assault in Western Europe with a new level of power. However, such a fragile truce was bound to end when they began to mistrust each other and look at one another with illusory eye.

Along with Germany’s constant expansion, including a failed mission aimed to defeat Britain during the Battle of Britain, German Stalin is spending his time with one aim in mind: a coming clash. In spite of the advice given by the British that they were going to be attacked by the Germans, Stalin history was mistrusting and did not believe that the British were trying to use tricks against Soviets.

By Thursday, 21st of June 1941, the palpable rise of nervousness in the Kremlin was observed along with uneasy claims of presence of large armed forces of Germany near the Soviet borders. Next day the German troops developed a devastating attack with huge forces against the western border of the Soviet Union. The shock paralyzed Stalin, but later, with the vow of the Nazi-Soviet alliance annulled by Hitler, he called his country out for what turned to be the bloodiest Front of the World War II.

America for its part viewed European equilibrium as the fundamental purpose. Initially, Americans had absolutely no interest in another European war because of the widespread governmental disposition of isolationism and hatred towards both fascism and communism felt throughout the state. On the other hand, the terrible prospect that either of the Blackest nights was going to take over Europe scared the other as well.

Indisputably the real catalyst for American intervention was atomic bomb researches within the US soil. The fact that by 1941 the scientists had already started exploring nuclear weapons, the idea of the Germans or Russians being in possession of similar project was unacceptable. This made the US face the danger not only from the Nazis who wanted to invade England and soviets counterattacked, but also the US had to make a choice regarding its policy.

The new history would be quite different. In the alternate reality, where Germany did not attack the Soviet Union, the Nazis would have prioritized Britain’s conquest. If they had more time and support, history might have given us a different outcome. They could have forced Britain to give in to their terms or to have a long term occupation. Therefore, Hitler tactics would have made the power balance different but eventually the weakened Germany would have prompted Stalin to strike and begin the next phase of war.

A major factor for the US joining the war would be the existence of two threats; German control of Europe and Soviet expansionism. In order to prevent either of them from achieving regional dominance, intervention by the US would be inevitable. The entry of the US into the war, that was triggered by geostrategic and the race to possess nuclear weapons, were going to completely redraw the global history.

This different scenario shows the strict selfishness of world politics in making one party allies to another depending on strategic interests not on ideological matters. The Devil’s Alliance between Hitler and Stalin, even when doomed to fail, reveals the ends to which nations (countries) are ready to go so as to protect and expand their power. The US's engagement at the end, dominated by the determination to prevent imbalance of power, became the embodiment of how complicated wartime diplacy was and how it moved steadily towards global conflict.
