It didn't fit. How could this be? She was the one who went to the ball in the pumpkin coach, with a dress of floating stars and a lizard footman. This was her slipper!

"I'm sorry, miss. You'll have to let someone else try."

She pulled the other shoe from her apron pocket and found a tatty ballet pump, not a glass stiletto.

She turned and saw her wicked stepmother smirking, holding the fairy godmother's wand, which was smoking at one end. What did she do to her godmother?

Cinderella wasn't going to let this happen. She would fight back...
