Location, Location, Location
It’ll give her salon the edge
Sandra stood in front of the vacant building, excitement taking hold, her dream materialising within her mind.
She could see the future twinkle of bright lights, picture the position of the client’s chairs, envisage the equipment adorning the walls and she knew it would work.
The location’s prestige was not lost on the salon owner and she believed it would attract additional attention, bringing in the upper-class clientele.
This was the only vacant building on the street. Set amongst the elite clothing stores, massage parlours and exquisite restaurants, her girls would cut and curl only the richest of heads.
I was challenged to write a drabble of the word ‘prestige'.
Wikipedia defines a drabble as follows :
A drabble is a short work of fiction of precisely one hundred words in length. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author's ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in a confined space.

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.

Oooo, that's a very strategic place indeed. Loved your drabble!
