When the shutters opened, light from the streetlamp bathed the room. Sate stood up and fastened his collar and put on his tie. A squirrelly woman scampered away when he got to his feet.

“I need the help to do what I say. That’s why they’re called ‘help.’ Please tell me you understand that.”

“I do, sir.”

“Then I suggest that you make the proper adjustments before it is too late for you.”

“Aye, sir.”

The women all huddled together in the back of the trailer. They seemed to be shivering even though the heat blasted through the place. But somehow, smiles plastered their faces. There seemed to be a comfortable silence as well.

When Sate looked over the women, he felt a sense of what was wrong. His whole being shifted. He wanted to become even more soft on the women. He knew what he was doing. The entire way that he kept looking at the women they looked up and said, “Good morning, Mr. Sate.”

“How are my ladies?”

“Fine.” “Great.” “Ecstatic!”

Sate’s small smirk turned into a full smile. He kept going with his plans. His underling, Stockton Gurlish, walked over to Sate with authority. He was somewhat tall already but he had a swagger about him that made him seem to be eight feet tall.

“What we have to say is that we’re going to have a better system. It has to be automated and conducive to the business. The merchandise will have us hemmed up if we let it. So we can’t. We’ve got to keep the pressure on them and keep them happy and safe. We have to give them the finest foods, the best feminine care, and continue to provide top tier medical care.”

Sate looked at the tablet and saw the costs for keeping the women in the best mood and health. He looked at the numbers and did the figures in his head.

“Everything seems well, Lazlo. It will be on us to discover just what we can do with the merchandise. If we take it to the next level and bring our ends to this part of the game. It’s important that we have the chance to keep going with the power of our own intellect. I mean you’re smart, that's why you’re my lieutenant. But I have to be the brain in all of this.”

Lazlo stood tall. He kept looking at Sate as if he were going to punch him. He had an edge in him to keep him going. Sate noticed this. He kept his mind focused on the money and how he would get the cash back with the women on the street. That’s how he could focus on keeping them on the street. He remained giving his lieutenant pointers and Lazlo took every idea and like any good warrior under a chain of command, followed every order.

It took him a short amount of time to dismiss Lazlo. He ran out of the office. Sate remained standing. A woman massaged his temples with heels on her feet and nothing else.

“Enough!” She was stunned but kept a smile on her face. She walked into a closet and put on a robe. She then scampered out of the office. Sate was all by himself. He took his thoughts and applied them to the tablet. Every ounce of mathematics poured from his mind and he knew that what he had to do was continue to drop the hammer. But of course, the hammer had to be wrapped in velvet for his operation to run. He left.

Julisia and TSL observed all of this.

“I can do this before the show. Get Sate the hell out of here,” TSL announced.

“Let’s do it, then,” Julisia said.

They sent a message to the Homeland Security agents. As they descended upon the compound, Sate scrambled like a roach when one turned on the lights. He felt like everything evaporated around him. Julisia and TSL walked to the front of the compound after exiting the Goulding. Sate looked into their eyes as the agents relinquished the women and introduced a cuffed Sate to the back of an official government vehicle.

“I’m proud of you,” Julisia mentioned.

“I’m proud of me, too,” TSL replied.
