The letter fell to the floor. Even if the letters weren’t precisely in big red font, “Rejected” was easy enough to understand.

Ridiculous!

Their very response rendered my premise unimpeachable.

I lost count of the rejections, all bearing essentially identical messages.

These publishers couldn’t appreciate how I meticulously executed, documented, and validated all seven methods in the book.

The flames devoured the letter as I slid on my boots, the rest of my tools already prepared.

Their reviews said it was “unrealistic”, “impossible”, “penny dreadful caliber fiction”, blah, blah, blah.

I guess Getting Away with Murder needed additional hands-on testing.
