Everyone has to acquire different types of education, skills, and experience at different stages of life cycle from child to adult. A child carries the seeds of intelligence and intelligence from birth in varying degrees. Gradually, that seed blossomed. This requires practice and a supportive environment. No one is born with a personality made up of relationships, emotions, imitations, etc. Everyone's personality is shaped by their own childhood experiences. Personality is determined on the basis of parents and other family members, neighbors, friends, type of orders and prohibitions, fulfillment of needs, level of love and affection.

Family turmoil and a lack of favorable environment act as influences in developing various types of mental crises later in life. It is important to have a good family environment in childhood to improve mental health. Proper care and awareness of parents towards children and teenagers can give beautiful youth. Adolescents are the most vulnerable to mental health in the world, given the current context. Studies have shown that half of all mental illnesses begin between the ages of 12 and 14. Most of these illnesses remain neglected or undetected. At this time, teenagers are more emotional. They may not be confident and self-confident due to negative effects on mental health. Suicide is a leading cause of death among adolescents and young adults. All these are the result of mental problems.

Currently, the prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including mental illness, has increased worldwide. Urbanization, socioeconomic conditions, stress, genetics, and other physiological and psycho-social factors are among the reasons for the increase in the prevalence of mental disorders. Our country is no exception. National Institute of Mental Health, Dhaka, and World Health Organization studies have shown that 16 percent of adults and 20 percent of children and adolescents in Bangladesh are suffering from mental health problems. A large population is denied access to timely medical care due to prevailing misconceptions, prejudices, and a lack of information on treatment. This affects the performance of the people, which hinders the path of national progress and development.

Drug addiction is associated with mental illness and various other mental problems. Drug addiction has spread widely in the youth community recently. Due to various reasons like drug availability, drug smuggling, curiosity, peer pressure, and sociology-economic conditions, drug addiction has spread at all levels, irrespective of men and women. Young people are getting involved in various types of criminal activities after overcoming drug addiction. Many times disobedience, petty disputes, violent behaviour, and even murder can be seen among them. Among them are personality problems and other mental health problems. Apart from this, the tendency to commit suicide and self-injury is also seen in this age group due to various reasons. Most of those who attempt suicide have a variety of mental health problems, including depression. Lack of parental supervision, socio-economic conditions, free sky culture, and changing values ​​are largely responsible for this.

Excessive use of the internet and Facebook and other social media can be observed in many cases among the youth, which goes to the level of addiction. Information technology is being misused by minors and unscrupulous people. A large part of crime is committed through social media. Social networking sites are hurting people's emotions and feelings. Valueless users are using technology in a sick and ugly way. Its use is being obscenely presented to children and teenagers with distortions of information. Thus, their mental condition is being damaged.
