I was recently approached by a creator who has won multiple Top Stories on Vocal, but resides outside of the Stripe jurisdiction, or area of operation. She has so far not been able to collect her winnings.

We are all aware that Vocal makes it clear that if that happens you will not be able to get paid.

Yet, I imagine that with all the many and varied APPS which are available worldwide, that it is now time for Vocal to find a way to incorporate some new forms of inclusivity of payment collection which will include these hard working creative members of the platform. I remember suggestions being made by other creators here, but were left hanging by the wayside, hopefully to be tackled at a later time.

I believe that the later time is now here. Or perhaps these creators can find available, hopefully safe ways around this dilemma.

It has been suggested that a creator who lives within the Stripe availability domain may assist an out of zone creator. I have no idea how this would work. If anyone knows, please share the information.

I have tried to send tips to a creator in Africa but the funds bounced back to my account.

Below are two stories written over two years ago about a possible solution to this problem. This is followed by some additional APPS which are similar.

A story by Arsh K.S on Vocal.

"There may be ways around such a conundrum such as the use of Payoneer which can make a virtual account for you with registration in another country, or so this article claims https://vocal.media/journal/how-to-make-stripe-account-on-vocal-media-to-make-money-as-a-creatorMy own story is one among them - my funds are frozen in vocal.media's ccounts because of its patronage of Stripe"

Story by Vinit Prasad on Vocal.

Step 1: Create a Payoneer account:

This is critical. You won't be able to proceed unless you have a Payoneer account. Creating a Payoneer account can allow you to open a virtual bank account in three countries: the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom. There are other companies that offer virtual credit cards, but they are more expensive and not recommended. Payoneer is a fantastic business that works well for people in India, Africa, and the Middle East.

A bank account in your own country is required to open a Payoneer account. You cannot open a Payoneer account if you do not have a bank account in your own country. You must wait 3 to 5 days after creating a Payoneer account to use it. You must check your account after it has been accepted by uploading your country citizenship documents. This is only for the purpose of obtaining clearance.

Step 2: Create a Vocal account, link Stripe Express, and begin publishing:

Create a Vocal account and then connect it to your Stripe account. After you've finished creating an account, you'll need to connect to a Stripe account. Most people mistakenly believe that creating a Stripe express account is the same as creating a full-fledged Stripe account, which is incorrect. Stripe express is only used to link a bank account to a reference business.

The entire procedure for linking your bank account Pick United States and add your Payoneer United States bank account by clicking "Connect a Stripe." That completes the process of linking your Stripe account to Vocal. The procedure is rather straightforward. Also, keep in mind that you must enter your real details in the Stripe boxes; otherwise, checking your account would be difficult because you must upload your original documents.

There are articles in resources which cover many topics, including advice on how to access Stripe if you reside outside of the USA, India or other countries.

Always go to Resources first to find information on a myriad of very useful tips and advice.

I hope that this will be of some assistance to others who are also facing this problem. Maybe open a personal account with a small amount of funds to address this situation. I would suggest not using your regular bank account, just to be on the safe side.

If you’re looking for alternatives to the payment service Payoneer, there are several other options available that cater to different needs, such as freelancers, digital marketers, and e-commerce sellers. Here are some alternatives you might consider:

PayPal: A widely recognized platform for online payments and transactions.

Wise (formerly TransferWise): Known for its transparent fees and currency conversion rates.

Skrill: Offers services similar to Payoneer with an emphasis on low-cost international transfers.

Stripe: A comprehensive suite for businesses to manage online payments.

PaySafe: Specializes in online prepaid payment methods.

Neteller: Provides online payment and money transfer services.

Paysera: Offers a range of financial services including money transfers and currency exchange1.

Each of these services has its own set of features, fees, and availability across different countries. It’s important to evaluate which service best fits your specific needs, especially if you’re dealing with international currencies and cross-border payments.

Good luck!!!

I'm able to receive earnings from reads and other bonuses through Stripe but I'm unable to receive any tips. I've had issues with my Stripe account before this and it took many months to get it solved. I've never heard of Payoneer before but it seems like a good option. I'm so glad you brought this issue to light
