Layzie Bone Dead of Alive Shows the world that real rap is not yet dead. In rap game where mostly only the same nonsense lyrics are mumbled by talent less rappers. It is so good to see Layzie Bone of Bone Thugs N Harmony bring a real album that has touched thee people.

Right off the bat from the first 2 songs on the album. You can tell Layzie is going to bring some real knowledge and power with this lyrics. You can tell this by how he says he doesn’t need the majors. This is important because when he can put out his own music and have creative control over it.

The song Dead Man Walking is very deep with a very good message. The beat is amazing and has such a powerful vibe to it. Layzie Bone and Cyrano both spit some really deep lyrics on this track. The music video that goes with It is even better.

The song Dead or Alive is just awesome. Layzie brings powerful and more mature lyrics on this track. He really put a lot of thought into each word. The beat and chorus of the song was very strong also. One of my favorite tracks on the album.

One that thing is very different about this album. Is that Layzie touches on a lot of social issues. Everything from police brutality to Trump. He really talks about things that a lot of people have on their mind.

But even though he talks about topics that are are harsh reality in recent times he always brings a bight ray of light with his music. Layzie bone did this with the song. It’s allright. Cyrano did a wonderful job of singing on the chorus. Both him and Layzie spit some lyrics that uplift and inspire those who listen to them.

But this album is not deep messages and of hope. Oh now it also has some of that old school thuggish rugggish violent music as well. This is heard on the song Killer Instinct featuring Krayzie Bone and Flesh N Bone. The beat is dark and hardcore. Krayzie Layzie and Flesh all ripped it with amazing flows and lyrics. One of my favorite tracks on the album.

I was also very impressed with how well this album was mixed. It sounds as good as anything a major label puts out. Yet again proving that Layzie Bone not need the majors. Everything from the beats to the vocals are all mixed to perfection and sound great.

Layzie Bone’s Dead of Alive also has some really cool chill songs as well. One of the most relaxing and chill songs on the album is I Like to Smoke. Layzie brings that classic singing and harmony to the song. He also spits some great lyrics. And I was pleasantly surprised to hear Ken Dawg from the original Mo Thugs on this song. The whole vibe took me back to the old Mo Thug days. A song that all weed smokers will love.

Songs like Stir it up stand out for that hustler music. A song you can ride to and also work while listening to. This song is something that really does motivate me. And I am sure it will keep people motivated when they hear it. Layzie spit some of his best lyrics and great classic flow.

Overall every song is solid on the album. I like to reply some songs more than others. But each songs brings something that the people will love and feel. If you are looking for a new album that brings real rap music to the world. Then Layzie Bone’s Dead of Alive is it. Rap still lives and Layzie Bone and Bone Thugs N Harmony are keeping it alive.
