Reflecting In Bubbles

Warm water surrounds me,

As I sink into suds,

Blissed out in the tub,

Relaxation is found,

As bubbles float around.

Floating & Gleaning,

Swirling & Dancing,

Calm & Free,

Making a Joyful Bathtime Dream.

Reflecting the Light,

They Soar High,

Chasing Playful Dreams,

Making Rainbow Manifest,

Igniting the Childish Wonder.

Taking a bath after a long day works like a miracle pill. The cold tiled floor is a vast contrast to the warm flowing water.

The water cascades down like tiny droplets of rain splashing against the watery tiles.

Soon steam covers the area making everything cloudy and hazy. A pale hand extends - as I grab the bubble bottle preferably termed by me as a 'Bubble Potion'.

With a squeeze and pop the lid flew up and the bubbles filled the air. I think bubbles are a must for bathing at any age.

The floating bubbles reflected the light as they flew around chasing and playing around.

My inner kid came to the surface and I went around popping and blowing them. It was like I was a kid is a bath time fairytale.

Now all I need is a yellow rubber ducky with an orange beak and a toy boat.

Thinking about the rubber duck I felt like quoting Arthur Weasley from Harry Potter; 'What is the function of a rubber duck?'

Anyways, I enjoyed my time under the running water. The mist was vanishing and so were the bubbles - an indication to me that the time was up.

Rinsing off and wrapped in a fluffy towel, I left the bath. Padding in the closet I changed into comfortable clothes and hung the towel to dry off.

I was shivering now the chilly winter season was getting to me so I went to the living room and sat by the fire.

Bathing in winters is fun until you get out of the bath and are hit with the cold temperature.
