Out Of Her Control
Fiction Shorts word of the day: Colour
Mark walks into the kitchen dressed solely in skintight jeans. His chest is bare, as is his feet and his long hair cascades freely.
Simone turns from the sink where she’s washing the dishes and freezes. She feels the colour redden her cheeks and swears she’s practically drooling at the sight of him standing there, in all his glory.
His chest begs for her hands to discover his contours, her lips itching to taste.
Embarrassed she turns back to the dishes, berating herself for her lack of control. Her remorse heightened over the fact that he is her sister’s boyfriend.

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
