Her eyes pull like a stormy sea
A stunning beauty stealing breath
Knees go weak when locking sight
Makes rooms seem brighter, eyes of her
Swirling pools that seduce and claim
Is this why Perseus used their shield?
Fearing the fate unreflected eyes held
I have become like stone to all other
Nothing can break the hold, the grasp
Of those glistening, sea storm eyes of her
Turning like Eurydice on that fateful walk
Deep down knowing you shouldn’t, mustn't
Content to doom your own fate in those orbs
Heart cursed and sealed by that wilful gaze
To know no other, want no other, see no other
I would smile gladly crossing the dark Styx
If only I saw, just once more, the eyes of her

My short form writing mostly falls into the absurd, strange and nonsensical. I enjoy writing micro-fiction collections, been dabbling in poetry.
